Regular biography
Xiang Chen is a Tenure-Track Associated Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Peking University. He is affiliated with the Institute of Networking and Energy-efficient Computing (NEEC). His research interests include mobile and distributed computing systems, high performance intelligence computing, and related Edge, IoT, and CPS applications. Chen earned his MS and Ph.D. in Computer Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Yiran Chen at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his bachelor's degree at Northeastern University in China in 2010. After obtaining his Ph.D. in 2016, he joined George Mason University, where he led 7 National Science Foundation (NSF) projects and received the NSF CAREER Award. In 2023, he joined Peking University. His research has resulted in over 70 publications in top-tier conferences and journals, including DAC, DATE, MLSys, KDD, CVPR, ECCV, TC, and TCAD. His work has received a Best Paper Award in MLSys 2022 and DATE 2017, as well as several best paper award nominations and competition awards.
