Regular biography
Anthony Tung Kum Hoe is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. His research interests include indexing and searching complex objects, time series, trajectories, trees, graphs, high-dimensional objects, and query interface design. He has contributed to areas such as keyword search ranking, preference elicitation, and visual query mining. Tung holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University and has been involved in various research projects and academic activities, including serving on program committees and delivering guest lectures. His work has been recognized with awards such as the 2005 Best Paper Award. He is also actively engaged in teaching, including courses on big-data analytics technology.
