Regular biography
Gary TAN Soon Huat is an Associate Professor (Educator Track) in the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore. He has been lecturing at the School of Computing since 1990 and has received multiple Teaching Awards, including the Teaching Excellence Awards from the School in 1999, 2002, 2016, and the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award for 03/04, 04/05, and 06/07. His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, scheduling and load balancing, and simulation. He is also Vice Dean of Student Life at the school.
