Roger Zimmermann

Roger Zimmermann is a Professor at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS). He is a Full Professor and holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Southern California. His research interests include multimedia and distributed systems, spatiotemporal data management, streaming media architectures, and applications of machine learning. He is a Co-PI with the Grab-NUS AI Lab and has held leadership roles at the NUS Smart Systems Institute and the Centre of Social Media Innovations for Communities. Dr. Zimmermann is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Distinguished Member of the ACM. He has authored numerous publications and has served on the editorial boards of several journals, including the Springer International Journal of Multimedia Tools and Applications and the ACM Transactions on Multimedia.
