Lu Yao

Lu Yao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington (2018), an MSc in Computer Science from Fudan University (2013), and a BEng in Computer Science from Tongji University (2010). His research interests include next-gen AI infrastructures, reinforcement learning, and deep research in science and beyond. He has previously worked as a researcher at Microsoft Research Redmond. His teaching includes courses such as CS4262 Machine Learning Systems, CS5462 Machine Learning Systems, and CS6216 Advanced Topics in Machine Learning.
