Jonathan Scarlett

Jonathan Scarlett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. He is also affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and the Institute for Data Science. His research interests include information theory, machine learning, and high-dimensional statistics. Scarlett holds a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and a B.Sci. in Computer Science from the University of Melbourne. He has been recognized with the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) fellowship and the NUS Presidential Young Professorship. His work focuses on areas such as Bayesian optimization, group testing, and safety in black-box optimization.
