Huang Zhiyong

Huang Zhiyong is an Associate Professor (Practice Track) in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore. He serves as Academic Director of the MSc (Artificial Intelligence & Innovation) and holds a Senior Principal Investigator position at the NUS Chongqing Research Institute (NUSRI-CQ) and NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (GRTII). His research focuses on Machine Learning and Data Analytics, with contributions to areas such as Computer Vision, Data Privacy, and Security. He has served as a TPC member for AAAI 2026 and reviewer for several top conferences. Huang has also held various leadership roles at the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, and is a Senior Member of ACM and IEEE.

Zhiyong Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the School of Computing, NUS. His research focuses on Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Multimedia, and Databases. His work explores interactive applications of polygon meshes, real-time animation of human hair, and 3D model retrieval using geometric and topological features. Huang also investigates skyline queries in mobile networks and multi-sensor approaches for 3D interaction. His research includes the development of tools like Graphedit and Mmcode, which support graph structure learning and multimodal code generation. Additionally, he contributes to human–robot interaction and motion capture animation interfaces.
