Regular biography
Bryan Hooi Kuen-Yew is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the National University of Singapore. He holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University and previously earned his MSc in Computer Science and BSc in Mathematics from Stanford University. His research interests include machine learning, graph algorithms, anomaly detection, spatiotemporal data, and biomedical applications of AI. He has contributed to projects such as Enhancing Reliability and Relational Understanding of Visual Language Models and has published in top conferences like KDD and IJCAI. His work has received awards, including the KDD 2016 Best Paper Award and the ECML-PKDD 2018 Runner-Up Best Student Data Mining Paper Award.
