Joseph Shapiro

Joseph Shapiro is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on International Economics and Public Economics, with particular attention to the costs, benefits, and design of environmental regulation, interactions between trade and environmental policy, and climate change. He holds a PhD in Economics from MIT. Shapiro's work explores the political economy and incidence of environmental policy, as well as air and pollution issues.
