Barry Eichengreen

Barry Eichengreen is the George C. Pardee & Helen N. Pardee Chair and Distinguished Professor of Economics and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has taught since 1987. His research focuses on economic history, international economics, and political economics, with particular attention to exchange rates, capital flows, the gold standard, and the European and Asian economies. He is also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research. Eichengreen has held various fellowships and has contributed to numerous publications and books on global currencies and economic policy.
