Tan, Suet Mien

Assoc. Prof. Tan Suet Mien is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair (Students) in the School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cell adhesion and migration, particularly the roles of integrins and kindlins in normal and pathological conditions such as inflammation and cancer. Her work explores the signaling networks of these proteins and their contributions to cancer progression and drug resistance. Tan's research areas include cell adhesion, cell migration, integrins, kindlins, and cancer. She leads a laboratory that investigates the functional regulation and signaling properties of integrins, with a particular emphasis on the leucocyte β2 integrins.
