Regular biography
Assistant Professor (NRF Fellow) Sho Nanyang Suzuki is affiliated with the School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. His research focuses on membrane contact sites and their role in organelle communication, particularly in processes such as membrane remodeling and lipid exchange. The Suzuki Lab investigates how these interactions contribute to cellular functions and disease mechanisms, including Parkinson’s, through techniques like cell biology, biochemistry, and advanced imaging. His work includes studies on lipid transport proteins and their involvement in intralumenal vesicle formation. Research areas include cell biology, organelle contact sites, membrane dynamics, and super-resolution imaging.
