Regular biography
Prof. Sabapathy, Kanaga is a Chair Professor and Chair at the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and therapeutic response, particularly the p53 and p73 tumor suppressor pathways. His group investigates cellular transformation, resistance to cancer therapies, and the development of platform technologies for novel therapeutic strategies. Additionally, they generate mouse models to better understand carcinogenic processes. His work includes studies on mutant p53 functions and the role of p73 in tumorigenesis.
