Bozdech, Zbynek

Professor Bozdech is affiliated with the School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. His research focuses on systems biology approaches to infectious diseases, particularly the human malaria parasite, Plasmodium species. His work explores transcriptomics, including the complex life cycle of Plasmodium, transcriptional responses to external stresses, and drug resistance, especially to artemisinin. He contributes to international efforts in antimalarial drug discovery using transcriptomics and proteomics, including Thermal Protein Profiling. His research addresses key clinical aspects of malaria and other infectious pathogens, including drug resistance, immune evasion, and zoonosis.
