Vicky Chuqiao Yang

Vicky Chuqiao Yang is the Richard S. Leghorn (1939) Career Development Assistant Professor in Management of Technological Innovation, and an Assistant Professor of System Dynamics at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She is also an affiliated faculty member at the MIT Institute for Data, Systems, and Society. Yang's research uses quantitative behavioral models, assisted by data analysis, to study collective human behavior across various organizational levels, from teams to cities. Recent application areas include collective intelligence, scaling laws in cities, and regulatory costs in organizations. Her research has been published in journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of the Royal Society Interface, and SIAM Review. She teaches Introduction to System Dynamics, a graduate-level course that introduces system thinking, dynamic modeling, and simulation tools for business strategy and public policy problems.
