Ralph Katz

Ralph Katz is a Senior Lecturer in Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also a professor of innovation and entrepreneurship management at Northeastern University’s College of Business. With over 35 years of experience, Katz has focused on management research, education, and consulting related to building, leading, and sustaining the innovation process, particularly in the management and motivation of technical professionals and high-performing teams. He has conducted workshops and seminars for various organizations, including major corporations such as Procter & Gamble, Lockheed Martin, and Nokia. Katz teaches in two MIT Sloan executive programs and leads the Management of Technology and Innovation executive program at Cal Tech. He has also taught at IBM’s Corporate Technical Institute and was a visiting scholar at INSEAD in Paris during the 2003–04 academic year. His most recent book is The Human Side of Managing Technological Innovation, second edition (Oxford University Press, 2004).
