Phil Budden is a Senior Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Sloan School of Management, affiliated with the Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management (TIES) Group. His research and teaching focus on innovation ecosystems globally, with an emphasis on corporate innovation. Budden co-teaches in the Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (REAP) and its related course, Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration for Leaders (REAL: 15.364), as well as executive education programs on similar topics. His academic and professional background includes a career as a British diplomat, with experience in European Union affairs and transatlantic economic and business issues. Budden holds degrees in history and international political economy from the University of Oxford.
