Michael A. Cusumano

Michael A. Cusumano is the Sloan Management Review Distinguished Professor of Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management and currently the faculty director of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship and the CoDirector of the MIT System Design and Management (SDM) Program. He has also held a joint appointment as Professor of Engineering Systems in the MIT School of Engineering. Cusumano specializes in strategy, product development, and entrepreneurship in computer software, automobiles, and consumer electronics. At MIT, he teaches 'Strategy in the Age of Digital Platforms.' He has consulted and lectured for approximately 100 companies and organizations, including NASA, the World Bank, and the Bank of England. He has served as editor-in-chief and chairman of the MIT Sloan Management Review and writes regularly on Technology Strategy and Management for Communications of the ACM.
