Regular biography
Matthew S. Kressy is a Senior Lecturer in the MIT Sloan School of Management's Business Unit (BUS). He is the Cofounder and Director of the MIT Integrated Design & Management (IDM) Master’s degree program and the Founding Trustee of the New England Innovation Academy (NEIA). Kressy is also principal of Designturn Inc., where he has designed, invented, engineered, and manufactured products for startups, Fortune 500 companies, and other entities. His work emphasizes Human Centered Design as a foundation for leadership and problem-solving, integrating business, engineering, and manufacturing. Since 1999, he has co-taught collaborative courses in product design and development at institutions including MIT Sloan, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and Harvard Business School. He holds a BFA in industrial design from RISD.
