John E. Core

John E. Core is the Nanyang Technological University Professor of Accounting and a Professor of Accounting at the MIT Sloan School of Management. His research interests include executive compensation, corporate governance, and disclosure. Core's work has been published in several academic journals, including the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics. He teaches the core Financial Accounting class to first-year MBA students at MIT Sloan. Prior to academia, he worked in investment banking and compensation consulting. Core holds a BA from Yale University and a PhD from The Wharton School.
