James F. Butler is a Lecturer in Operations Research and Statistics at MIT Sloan, affiliated with the Management Science academic area. He serves as a faculty advisor to students in the Master of Business Analytics program's Analytics Capstone class (15.089). With over 35 years of experience in IT product development, Butler began his career as a software developer and currently holds a part-time role as CTO of a Boston-based company. He received SB and SM degrees from MIT's Aeronautics and Astronautics department and is an ASHRAE Fellow.
