Regular biography
James C. Rhee is a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management. His research and teaching focus on entrepreneurship, leadership, and the intersection of mathematical and creative systems. He is also the Johnson Chair of Entrepreneurship and a Professor of entrepreneurship at Howard University. Rhee serves as the executive in residence and a strategic adviser at the MIT Leadership Center. His work emphasizes transforming people, brands, and organizations through purpose-driven strategies. He is known for his leadership in the reinvention of Ashley Stewart and his founding of FirePine Group, an impact investment platform. Rhee is also actively involved in corporate leadership and advisory roles, including membership on the board of directors of Conscious Capitalism.
