Hong Ru

Hong Ru is a Visiting Associate Professor of Finance at MIT Sloan School of Management. His research interests include financial intermediary, Chinese economy, corporate finance, and household finance. Ru's research has been published in top academic journals such as the Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial Economics. He has presented his work at conferences including AFA, EFA, and NBER and has received best paper awards. His research has been featured in media outlets like The Wall Street Journal and China Daily. Ru is also the Research Director of the Centre of Excellence International Trading (CEIT) at Nanyang Business School, NTU. He received his PhD in finance from MIT Sloan in 2015 and joined NTU as an Assistant Professor.
