James W. Rector is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include exploration geophysics, applied seismology, and machine learning within the oil and gas industry. Rector's work focuses on oil and gas reservoir geophysics, multichannel signal processing, borehole seismology, and seismic while drilling.
