Thomas W. Kirchstetter

Thomas W. Kirchstetter is an Adjunct Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of California, Berkeley, and serves as Scientific Division Director for the Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research interests include pollutant emissions and controls, climate and environmental impacts of transportation, pollutant measurement technologies and community monitoring, and atmospheric aerosol chemical and optical properties. Kirchstetter's work focuses on developing air pollution sensors, assessing emissions from diesel trucks, and evaluating the environmental impacts of waste-to-energy technologies.
