Ashok Gadgil

Ashok Gadgil is the Andrew and Virginia Rudd Family Foundation Chair Professor of Safe Water and Sanitation and a Professor of the Graduate School in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics of indoor air and pollutant transport, simulation methods for complex non-linear systems, energy efficiency in buildings, biomass cookstoves, drinking water treatment, and development engineering. Gadgil's work focuses on technologies for safe water and sanitation, including methods to treat drinking water to make it potable and the design of low-cost, efficient cookstoves for communities in developing regions.

Ashok Gadgil is a researcher at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) with a focus on environmental engineering and indoor air quality.
