Michael Cassidy is a Chancellor's Professor and Robert Horonjeff Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include traffic and transportation operations, discrete choice analysis, travel behavior, and transportation planning. Cassidy's work explores strategies to enhance urban traffic flow and sustainability through methods such as congestion pricing and traffic reorganization. He has supervised over 25 Ph.D. dissertations and published more than 75 papers in refereed journals. His research has focused on developing agent-based simulations to analyze traffic patterns and improve network productivity.
