Norman Abrahamson

Norman Abrahamson is a part-time Adjunct Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on the interface between seismology and earthquake engineering, particularly the application of seismological advances to the development of ground-motion models for use in deterministic and probabilistic analyses. His work involves the estimation of design ground motions and seismic risk for various structures, including dams, bridges, nuclear power plants, and pipelines. Abrahamson's research interests include non-ergodic ground-motion models, intensity data, and the development of intensity prediction equations.

Norman Abrahamson is an Adjunct Professor whose research focuses on ground motion prediction, seismic hazard analysis, and the development of empirical and stochastic models for earthquake engineering.
