Jorge Calderon

Jorge Calderon is a career entrepreneur, venture investment professional, management consultant, and innovation educator affiliated with the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business as a Continuing Professional Faculty member in the Business Administration department. His research and teaching focus on entrepreneurship, impact investing, social entrepreneurship, and innovation. Calderon has developed several curricula and programs, including the Impact Startup LaunchPad and Berkeley Impact Venture Partners (BIVP). He is also Managing Director for Impact Investments at Hispanics in Philanthropy, where he leads a fund investing in Latinx-led startups. Calderon has authored frameworks such as the Startup Discovery Method and Purpose-Driven Design. He has been a faculty member at Haas since 2014 and has received several teaching awards, including the Richard H. Holton Teaching Fellow Award.
