Luca Benini is a researcher with expertise in Integrated Circuits, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, VLSI, and Machine Learning. His work focuses on advancing system-level design techniques for power management, particularly in dynamic power management and energy-efficient computing. He has contributed to the development of Networks on Chips (NoCs) for scalable multiprocessor systems-on-chip and explored energy-efficient solutions for IoT devices. His research also includes wearable biosensing systems with in-sensor adaptive machine learning for gesture recognition and EEG-based brain-computer interfaces. Additionally, he has investigated energy harvesting and low-power microprocessor-based systems, emphasizing sustainability and efficiency in embedded technologies.
