Prof. Federica Sallusto is a Professor in the Department of BIO at ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on medical immunology, with an emphasis on understanding the mechanisms that control T cell priming, cytokine production, and homing capacities. Her work combines ex vivo analysis of memory T cell subsets with in vitro priming of naive T cells, particularly in the human system. She also investigates lymphocyte trafficking during inflammation and autoimmunity using the mouse system. Additionally, she has developed a method for analyzing human naive and memory CD4 and CD8 T cell repertoires through high-throughput cellular screenings of human T cell libraries.
