Josie Hughes

Josie Hughes is a Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Mechanical Engineering (ME) department. She leads the Computational Robot Design & Fabrication Lab, focusing on data-driven design and fabrication methods. Her teaching includes courses such as Data-driven Design & Fabrication Methods (ME-428) and Product Development and Engineering Design (ME-320). She supervises PhD students and has directed and co-directed several EPFL theses. Her research interests align with automated mechanical and mechatronic system design.
