About
Regular biography
Kunxin Luo is a Professor of Cell Biology in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on signal transduction pathways that regulate development and cancer, employing in vitro mechanistic studies in tissue culture cells and in vivo mouse models to investigate how disruptions in signaling networks lead to developmental defects and human cancer. His work explores the roles of tumor suppressor pathways, such as the TGFβ/Smad and Hippo pathways, in tissue development and homeostasis, as well as the functions of transcription elongation complexes in breast cancer progression.
