Lorenzo Lones is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. His research group employs mixed methods to investigate teaching practices that enhance students’ self-efficacy, sense of belonging, and persistence in STEM. Lones' work focuses on understanding how instructor practices influence student perceptions and experiences. His research is rooted in prior studies on seizure susceptibility and active learning implementation. He is affiliated with the Division of Cell Biology, Development and Physiology.
