Regular biography
Nikolaos Geroliminis is a Full Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the CE department. His research focuses on urban transportation systems, traffic flow theory and control, public transportation, and on-demand transport. He is the head of the Urban Transport Systems Laboratory (LUTS) and has contributed to the development of open-science large-scale datasets of naturalistic urban trajectories. His teaching includes courses on traffic operations, traffic engineering, and transportation economics. He is also involved in various academic committees and editorial roles, including as Editor-In-Chief of Transportation Research part C: Emerging Technologies.
