Alain Nussbaumer is an Adjunct Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Civil Engineering department. His research interests include metallic structures, structural glass, fatigue and fracture mechanics, assessment of existing structures, and ultra low cycle phenomena. He is associated with the Resilient Steel Structures Laboratory (RESSLAB) and the Structural Engineering Group.
