Michael Lehning is a Full Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the CE department. His research interests include interaction between the cryosphere and atmosphere, snow processes, natural hazards warning and forecasting, turbulence and boundary layer flows over alpine terrain, mountain hydrology, permafrost dynamics, and renewable energy in the Alps. He is also involved in the Swiss Energy Change Agenda.
