Fernando Porté-Agel is a Full Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC). His research interests include environmental fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, atmospheric boundary layers, turbulence, and wind energy. He leads the Wind Engineering and Renewable Energy Laboratory (WIRE) at EPFL. Porté-Agel holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and has held academic positions at the University of Minnesota.
