Regular biography
Cammy Brothers is a Full Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the CE department. Her research focuses on critical histories of architecture and art, with publications including Michelangelo, Drawing and the Invention of Architecture (Yale University Press, 2008) and Giuliano da Sangallo and the Ruins of Rome (Princeton University Press, 2022). She co-edits the series "All’Antica: Early Modern Perspectives on the Antique" (Harvey Miller Press) and contributes as an art critic to the Wall Street Journal. At EPFL, she teaches redesigned first- and second-year history courses with a global approach to architecture and cities, and leads the CHAART lab, which explores the Early Modern Mediterranean world.
