Regular biography
S. ``Vish'' Viswanathan is the F.M. Kirby Professor of Investment Banking at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. His research focuses on corporate finance, financial intermediation, and market microstructure. He has published in leading journals such as the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics. Professor Viswanathan teaches Advanced Corporate Finance (FIN 654) and Project Finance (FIN 898) in the daytime MBA program. He has also taught Corporate Finance and Corporate Restructuring to daytime and executive students. He has taught at various institutions, including the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Chicago. He is a past President of the Financial Intermediation Research Society and a member of the National Bureau of Economic Research.
