Manju Puri

Manju Puri is the J. B. Fuqua Professor at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. She previously served as an Associate Professor of Finance at Stanford Business School, which she joined after earning her Ph.D. in finance at New York University and MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Her research focuses on financial intermediation, corporate finance, household finance, entrepreneurship, and FinTech. Her work examines traditional and emerging forms of banking, including payment firms, Buy Now Pay Later, and digital credit practices. She has published in journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Finance, and Review of Financial Studies. Professor Puri also serves as Editor of the Review of Financial Studies and has held leadership roles in professional finance associations.
