Leslie Marx

Leslie Marx is Robert A. Bandeen Professor Emerita at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Her research focuses on industrial organization and antitrust economics, particularly anti-competitive behavior by individuals and firms, including collusion, bid rigging, and anti-competitive contract provisions. Her work contributes to detecting collusion, improving market resilience, and guiding antitrust authorities. Her research has been published in leading journals such as the American Economic Review and the Quarterly Journal of Economics. She co-authored the 2012 book The Economics of Collusion: Cartels and Bidding Rings. She is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and has received multiple research grants. Marx was also a member of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Fencing Team and won the Masters Fencing World Championship in 2017.
