Jennifer Francis, PhD, is the Robert L. Dickens Professor Emeritus in the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She served as Duke’s Executive Vice Provost (2018-2023) and Interim Provost (2023). Previously, she was Vice Provost for Academic Affairs (2017-2018) and held leadership roles in the Fuqua School of Business, including Senior Associate Dean of Programs (2011-2016) and Senior Associate Dean of Faculty (2006-2009). Her research interests focus on valuation and financial reporting. Francis earned a B.S. in accounting from Bucknell University and later completed her M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell University. She joined Duke in 1987 and previously taught at the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago.
