James Anton is the Wesley A. Magat Professor in the Economics Area at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He also holds secondary appointments in the Department of Economics at Duke and at UNC. His research focuses on managerial economics, competitive analysis, game theory, and industrial organization. Professor Anton's work addresses issues involving information, incentives, contracting, and property rights in markets with strategic firm rivalry. He has published on topics such as innovation incentives, intellectual property rights, competitive pricing, and antitrust. He has taught courses in managerial economics, competitive analysis, and global markets at Fuqua. His research has been published in journals such as The American Economic Review, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, and The Journal of Law, Economics and Organization. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Industrial Economics.
