Dr. Daniel Vermeer is an Associate Professor of the Practice at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he serves as Executive Director of the Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE). His research focuses on climate, energy, sustainability, and oceans. At Duke, Vermeer co-leads the national initiative ClimateCAP, which integrates climate change into the business school curriculum, and is co-founder of the Oceans@Duke initiative. He joined Duke from The Coca-Cola Company, where he led the Global Water Initiative. Vermeer’s work emphasizes sustainable development through education, research, and collaboration.
