Angelica Leigh

Dr. Angelica Leigh is an Associate Professor (pre-tenure) of Management and Organizations at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Dr. Leigh received her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Her research centers on race in organizations, employing both quantitative and qualitative methods to understand the unique experiences and perceptions of racial minority employees within diverse organizations. She examines how highly publicized societal events influence employees at work and explores behaviors that racial minority employees engage in to combat racism and advance equity in organizations. Her work has been published in several top-tier journals, and she has received awards for her research. Dr. Leigh is also an active member of the PhD project, an organization dedicated to diversifying faculty in business schools. Before joining academia, she worked at General Electric Healthcare.

Angelica Leigh is a scholar in Organizational Behavior and Diversity, focusing on how systemic issues like racism and identity threat impact workplace dynamics. Her research explores the experiences of Black employees, the role of allyship, and the effectiveness of diversity initiatives. She investigates how organizational policies and leadership behaviors influence employee well-being and equity. Her work highlights the importance of proactive strategies to foster inclusive environments and combat discrimination. Through empirical studies, she examines the interplay between race, gender, and organizational outcomes, contributing to the understanding of how to create more equitable workplaces.
