Noriko Yamasaki is a faculty member at The University of Tokyo, Department of PHY, and affiliated with the Institute of Space and Astrocautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (ISAS/JAXA). Her research focuses on high energy astrophysics, particularly observational studies of hot plasma associated with galaxies, the inter-galactic medium, and high energy phenomena in the intra-cluster medium. She contributes to the development of ultra-high energy resolution spectroscopy for future missions such as Athena and DIOS, and is involved in novel detector development, including TES and non-resistive calorimeters.
