YAKO Kentaro is a faculty member in the Department of Physics at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on Nuclear Physics (Experiment), specifically nuclear collective motion and spin-isospin oscillation. His group investigates the structure of excited nuclei by producing them through charge exchange or other reactions using ion beams of intermediate energies (several hundred MeV per nucleon).
