Neutron Science Quantum Spin Physics

About
Regular biography

Sato Taku J is a faculty member at The University of Tokyo, Department of PHY. His research focuses on Neutron Science and Quantum Spin Physics. Using neutron scattering, his group investigates quantum many-body phenomena in spin systems, including quantum magnets with geometrically frustrated spin configurations and quasicrystal magnets with higher-dimensional translational symmetry. The research also explores the dynamical behavior of spins in quantum materials such as exotic superconductors and quasicrystalline spin systems. The group utilizes neutron scattering as a primary tool to study quantum states and fluctuations of spins in condensed matter. Sample preparation and measurement of physical properties are conducted in-house, with collaborations across international research groups.
