Molecular Therapeutics

Molecular Therapeutics is a professor in the Department of BIO at the University of California, Berkeley, holding the title of Chair. Their research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying disease and the development of therapeutic modalities, including gene editing, genome engineering, and host-viral interactions. They are affiliated with the Division of Molecular Therapeutics (MTx), which investigates diseases such as sickle cell disease, retinal diseases, and cancer using biochemical, structural, and cellular approaches. The division also hosts seminars and connects students, postdocs, and faculty with the biotech environment of the Bay Area.
